A "Proof" is a copy of your printing job. A hard-copy proof is actually printed on paper, and is the very first printing of your manuscript. A PDF proof is an electronic copy that you can view on your PC.
Usually when you see your book as a finished product, many of the errors that you missed will jump out at you. For this reason, it is to your advantage that you order a pre copy book for review. If you order a Printed Proof, we'll print and bind a single book, and send it UPS Next Day Air. You'll receive it the next day by 10:30 am (business days only, no Saturday or Sunday delivery). We highly recommend that you order a proof copy.
We send a FREE PDF proof for your approval, but if you also want a PRINTED PROOF sent to you via UPS Next Day Air, visit our payment center and order a pre-copy. You'll still get the PDF proof, but after you approve that, we'll print, bind, and ship a printed proof to you. We pay the shipping. All you pay is $45 for the proof itself (unless it is included in your package). This price is an additional cost and cannot be taken out of the deposit. This $45 price is a special price for the first printed proof. Additional printed proofs may be more expensive, based on your book specifications.
Once you have reviewed and approved your Printed Proof, the remaining of your books will be printed unless you have corrections. To send us your corrected file(s), visit our "final review" link. We have some proofreading tips that may help you in catching errors that may have been previously missed. Again, remember that this is THE FINAL STEP BEFORE GOING TO PRINT!!!! We are NOT responsible for any errors that were missed prior to you signing off....so CHECK, CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK!!!
