How long does it take to publish my Ebook?
It depends on the format that you send to us, and if any additional work is needed to prepare the manuscript. If you are having your book published through us in print form, the process for an Ebook is approximately 2 days. If you are not a TRP Author, the processing time is approximately 8 days. We can give you a better estimate once we view your manuscript.
How do I submit my manuscript to you for conversion to an E Book Format?
The easiest way to get your manuscript to us is via email. We will accept your manuscript on paper form, but there will be a charge of $1.50 per page for us to transfer the information to digital form. This charge is in additional to the cost to convert the manuscript to an Ebook.
We except doc. pdf. txt. rtf or html formats. We recommend doc format as well as pdf. When sending a pdf, please make sure that all security settings are removed. We will reset the security once we are finished with the conversion.
Send your manuscript along with any images you want included in your book. Images, including covers, can be supplied in jpg, .gif or png formats. Your manuscript must be ready for publication. Make sure you have done editing for spelling and grammar on your manuscript. We will not edit your manuscript.
Do you include editing in the initial price?
The basic price does not include editing or formatting the layout. We convert your document for you into an Ebook, and prepare it for distribution on websites or eBook readers. Only those websites that are developed by our sister company universalworldwebs.com or those who are hosted on our server will receive a free page on their site for the customers to download the eBook. We do offer editing services at $1.50 per page if you need it. Websites that are developed by universalworldwebs.com will also receive a free shopping cart (PayPal) to collect the monies from the eBook sells. Visit our order page to view our prices.
Will the format of my eBook look exactly like a printed book?
No. eBooks are formatted to be read on computers and portable devices. As an example, eBooks do not have page numbers, page headers and footers, etc when setting up for a reading device. This is due to the fact that the amount of information displayed on each page will be dependent on the viewing device, making page numbers invalid. Books that are for websites only will look more like the printed copy including headers and page numbers.
Will I be billed for changes after my initial delivery?
The Ebook will not be published until your final approval. We will request an email from you stating that you are satisfied with the finished Ebook. Any changes that need to be made must be made before we publish. After the initial delivery, there will be a minimum fee of $25.00 for any changes you require.
How do I pay for the service?
We collect payments using the secure PayPal service. Even if you do not have a PayPal account you can use the service to pay via credit card. If you do not have a PayPal account or a credit card, or wish to pay using a different method, please contact us for other payment arrangements.
What format will my E Book be delivered in?
We use the standard .EPUB format which will allow your eBook to be read by all computers that have an epub reader and most portable devices. Those that are being published on a website will be delivered in a pdf format for your records.
How much should I charge for my EBook?
Most EBooks sell for between 50% and 75% of the price for printed books. Normal pricing will be between $5.00 and $15.00. An average is about $9.95. Remember you have no printing or shipping charges when distributing E Books so your profit is similar to selling a printed book. Of course, the lower the price the more sales you can anticipate.
Who owns the rights to my book and/or Ebook if you publish it for me?
You do. You maintain all rights to your material. Unlike other publishers, we do not retain any rights. You do what you want with your Ebook and you keep all the sales generated by your Ebook. If you decide to sign a consignment contract with TRP to post your book in our Ebook store, you may do so here.
What about protecting my Ebook from being copied or printed.
You can protect your book using several DRM (Digital Rights Management) when you distribute it. There are a lot of pros and cons to DRM. Most distributers feel they gain more sales than they lose by making the EBook easier to access and read by eliminating DRM. Most readers do not like having to enter codes or be restricted in where or how they can read your EBook.
